The figures on PlainSpending are drawn from USASpending.gov (the U.S. Department of the Treasury) and the DOGE.gov savings API. What This Data Is Not

• Not the full federal budget. State and county totals reflect awards with an identifiable place of performance, not all federal outlays. Some mandatory spending and intra-government transfers are not captured at the place-of-performance level.
• Not final or audited. Award totals continue to change after a fiscal year closes as agencies report de-obligations and Treasury reconciles accounts. Displayed totals may differ from final audited figures.
